Spiritual Healing!

Spirituality involves the recognition and acceptance of a God beyond our own intelligence and with whom we can have a relationship. This God can provide an experience of inspiration, joy, security, peace of mind, and guidance that goes beyond what is possible in the absence of the conviction that such a power exists.
Spiritual healing is when energy is transmitted to the person who needs it. The treatment works on the body, mind and spirit, which are seen as one unit that must harmonize for good health. If a separate healer is involved, the healer will place the hand on the person being treated to channel the energy from the Higher Source. The spiritual healing can help mental and emotional problems and physicalconditions such as a frozen shoulder.
The word "spiritual" refers to the divine nature of the energy, which healers agree comes from one external, invisible intelligent source. The healing energy from this source is available to all.
Healers see the body mind and spirit as one interdependent unit and believe all three must work in harmony to maintain positive health. Any problem - be it a broken leg or depression needs the power of healing to restore the balance of the whole person. It is felt that sickness often starts in the mind, or at the deeper level of the spirit, and it is often here that healing begins.
Spirituality vs. Relogion:-
Spirituality can be seen as being distinct from religion. Different world religions have proposed various doctrines and belief systems about the nature of a God and humanity's relationship with it. Spirituality, on the other hand, refers to the common experience behind these various points of view. It is an experience involving an awareness of and relationship with something that transcends your personal self as well as the human order of things. This "something" has been given various names ("God" being the most popular in Western Society) and defined in ways that are too numerous to count. We call it simply as the God. You can choose to define what that means for yourself in whatever way feels most appropriate. Your own sense of a God can be as abstract as "cosmic consciousness" or as down-to-earth as the beauty of the ocean or mountains. Even if you regard yourself an agnostic or atheist, you may get a sense of inspiration from taking a walk in the forest or contemplating a beautiful sunset. Or a small child's smile may give you a special sense of joy.
There is much healing and benefit to be obtained by cultivating your spiritual life. A personal spiritual commitment is the most important ingredient. Spiritual awareness and growth can effect a transformation in your whole being. It can help you to develop a basic trust and faith that is unshakable. Scientists call this intrinsic belief.
Many have experienced major turnarounds in their condition as a result of cultivating their spirituality. They feel that developing a relationship with their God provided the moral support, courage, hope, and faith for them to follow through with their personal recovery program. It provided them with a sense that they are not alone in the universe, and that there is a source of guidance and support that is available at times of confusion and discouragement.

Develop Psychic ability Steps!


It's easy to develop psychic ability when you know where to start and which steps to take.  
1. Understand Your Awakening:-
OK, first things first.  When you build a house, you need a nice sturdy foundation for it, right?  You also need a nice, sturdy foundation when you are working to develop psychic ability.
In this step, you are exploring your awakening and coming to understand it.  In my personal experience, this was the most fun and special part of my spiritual journey.  It  lasted for several years while I did the other steps in conjunction. 
This is the time when you get to know yourself on a soul level and discover things like who yourspiritual guides are.

2. Understand the Clairs:-
There are all different kinds of psychic abilities.  These are known as the clairs and they are the ways in which we receive intuitive information. 
We all receive psychic information in different ways.  For example, I am very clairaudient (I receive a lot of my intuitive information via hearing), but you might be very clairsentient.
When you understand the clairs, how they work, and the ways in which you receive intuitive information, you'll be able to work with your gifts in the most effective way possible.  
There are four major clairs:
1:-clairaudience
2:-clairsentience
3:-claircognizance
4:-clairvoyance
There are also two lesser known clairs:  clairalience and clairgustance.
So let's get going and see which psychic gifts you have - just one, or all of them: 
3. Strengthen Your Intuition:-
The more you practice using your intuition, the stronger it becomes – just like a muscle!  So let’s flex those psychic muscles and get them in tip-top shape!
A quick and simple way to do this is to start trusting your gut feelings about people and situations each day. 
It's wonderful to develop psychic ability by giving practice readings, but you also want to use your gifts in your everyday life.
Another very effective and fun thing to do is to practice psychic development exercises.  These can help take your abilities to the next level!
4. Meditate Daily:-
Meditation is uber important when you are working to develop psychic ability.  It helps quiet the mind and turn off all the jibber-jabber. 
When you do this, your vibration raises and allows you to be in a relaxed state to receive intuitive information.  It's key to psychic development!
If you are doing nothing else to develop your abilities, at least start meditating.  It’s free, easy, and only takes a little time each day.   As a super cool bonus, it will help relieve your stress (and we could all use help with that). 
So forget about the grocery list, dishes, and the in-laws coming over for dinner later.  Try these quick meditations today:
5. Practice Giving Readings:-
You know that little expression “practice makes perfect?"   Well, the same holds true for developing psychic abilities.    
You can read a million books to build your foundation -  and that knowledge is great and important - but nothing takes the place of practice.  Practice is what fine tunes your skills, helps you understand where your strengths and weaknesses are, and makes you a great reader!
6. Read Books by Trusted Authors:-
Now I'm going to totally contradict what I just said and tell you to read, read, read! 
It won’t take the place of practice, meditation, or any of that other important stuff, but it will give you a nice, solid understanding of whats going on. 
And you know what they say:  knowledge is power! 
7. Group Work:-
If you have a spiritual church or New Age store in your area, give them a call and find out about taking one of their psychic development classes.
Working with a group is fun and gives you the opportunity to learn about:
1:-working with the energy with others

2:-using your gifts in a safe environment

Some groups you'll click with, and some you won't.  Keep trying different ones until you find one that feels good for you.  Over the past 14 years, I've probably sat in on over 100 groups, and I've learned something from each one. 

Some groups were a lot of fun and made me feel very comfortable.  In other groups, I learned what I don't like.  The most important thing is to find what works for you.
8. Work With a Mentor:-
All of the things we talked about are fabulous and essential to developing your gifts.  But if you are really serious in your journey to develop psychic ability, you'll want to find a good mentor.
As we know, psychic development is a huge topic that has lots and lots of layers.  Sometimes, it can be overwhelming working through it all and knowing what to do next or how. 
I know from experience how many questions come up when you are on your journey.   
A coach can help you expand your gifts beyond your wildest dreams, and keep you going in the right direction.  They also help kick your butt when you slack off, and pick you up when you are down.

Easy Meditation Yourself!


Learn how to ground yourself with this easy meditation.  Use it whenever you are feeling off balance, or when you feel flighty after doing energy work or readings.
1. Prepare and Get Ready to Ground Yourself:-
1:-Turn off all electronic gadgets:  cell phones, televisions, etc.
2:-Find a nice, quiet place where you can be alone for about 15 - 20 minutes. 
3:-If you can do this meditation outside with your bare feet in the earth (on the beach, in the grass, etc.)  it  will enhance your experience.
4:-Sit upright in a comfortable chair with your feet planted on the ground.
 5:-  Make sure you do not cross your legs - you want energy to flow through you.
Let your arms hang comfortably at your sides or rest your hands (palms up) on your lap.    
Take a moment and make sure your body is comfortable.
2. Breathe:-
1:-Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
2:-Breathe in through your nose, slowly and deeply.   
3:-Feel your stomach expand as you breathe in.  Exhale and feel your stomach relax.
4:-Focus on breathing this way for a couple of minutes until it becomes rhythmic and effortless.
5:-Take a few moments and allow your body to completely relax.  Tension is being released from all your muscles.    
Notice how good you feel.
3. Begin the Visualization:-
Imagine a magnificent gold light radiating down through your crown chakra.  The light feels warm and safe.
Allow it to slowly flow through your body, touching and opening each chakra.  As it reaches your root chakra at the base of your tailbone, you become aware that your energy centers are opened and balanced.
The gold light continues to move through you, all the way to your feet.  It is a gentle, yet powerful light.  It flows through the bottoms of your feet and into the earth.  It moves like a waterfall until it reaches the core of the earth when it anchors itself.
4. Now the Fun Begins:-
You gently slide down the gold waterfall into the center of the earth.  When you arrive, you are amazed at how glorious the scenery is.  There are vibrant trees, flowers, and of course, the divine gold waterfall.
You see a bench that looks warm and inviting.  You sit down in the midst of all this nature.
You  inhale deeply and remember that you are sitting in the core of the earth.  It feels amazing that you have learned to ground yourself so effortlessly.
You notice a large hole near the bench.  This is the place to dump all of the excess energy that you've accumulated.  Any flighty or anxious feelings placed in this hole will be re-purposed by the earth and used for the good of humanity.
Let it all go!  You don't need to hold onto anything that doesn't belong to you.  Take as long as you need flushing excess energy into the earth until your body feels grounded.
When you are done, a beautiful white light emits from the hole.  It pushes you back up and into your body.  Though you are in your body, you still feel completely anchored to the earth.  Your experience has shown you how to ground yourself with ease.
When you feel ready, wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.  Any time you feel ungrounded, close your eyes and remember your visual trip to the core of the earth.

Natural Psychic Abilities!

Some people know that they have psychic abilities or ‘a gift’ but are unsure about how to control and develop it. While others may think they would like to be able to ‘see the future’, be more intuitive, provide card readings or communicate with a loved one on the other side, but are unsure if they can. Isn’t that just for the gifted few?
The answer to that question is easy, ‘No’. Anyone can develop their psychic abilities, some are more adept at it than others, but anyone can do it, with practice and perseverance.
Natural Psychic Abilities Tips!
The Number One Tip That I Can Share With You Is To Meditate Regularly:-
Meditation encourages us to switch off our analytical, everyday-thinking-brain and tap into our intuitive, creative, subconscious mind. This allows us to access information on a deep level and is essential in psychic development. When we start to analyse our feelings and the things that pop into our heads, we block the messages that come via our intuition or from spirit. We need to be able to switch into that mode easily in order to access our psychic abilities.
If you are someone who knows they have a gift but finds it hard to control it, this will really help you. By focussing your ‘psychic’ energy on one particular time of the day when you meditate you can quite literally say to your spirit guides (whether you know who they are or not) that this is the time to pass on messages, and no other. This is particularly good if your ‘psychic side’ wakes you up in the night, or causes you a distraction at other times of the day.
Meditation isn’t hard or complicated, it can be as simple as relaxing in an arm chair and listening to your favourite piece of calm music.
My Second Tip Is To Learn About Your Energy Field:-
You may wonder what auras and chakras have to do with your psychic abilities but they are an intrinsic part of the process. We are all energetic beings, we take in, change and create, and give off energy in various forms. We are surrounded by electro-magnetic fieldsand through these we can act like a radio transmitter and receiver to pass on and receive information on a subtle (or psychic) level. Learning about these energies and understanding how they work, and how we can utilise them will really change the way you see the world, and the way in which you think about your interactions with others. The essential skills are learning how to open, close & ground, protect your energies. I’ll cover these in new posts soon.
For now, why not practice one key element – grounding. This will be of particular use if you ever feel a bit ‘away with the fairies’ and is a key skill in learning to control your abilities. It will also help you to clear your head if you need it.
1:-As a first, very simple exercise stand with your feet hip width apart allowing you arms to hang loosely at your sides.
2:-Slightly bend your knees and allow your weight to sink into your feet.
3:-Gently rock back and forth on your feet a few times to find your balance.
4:-Take all of your awareness to your feet and in particular to point at the base of the ball of your foot (about 1/3rd down your foot between the big and 2nd toe).
5:-Imagine all of your weight sinking down to this point.
6:-Visualise roots extending out from this point down deep into the ground.
7:-Stand like this for a few moments, allowing your body to relax and breathe deeply.
Tip Number Three Is To Have A Go At Dowsing
Dowsing is a great way to learn to tap into your own  innate intuitive and psychic abilities. It  is a skill where you use an object (typically a pendulum or dowsing rods) to physically indicate the answer to a question that you don’t consciously know the answer to. I’m often asked how dowsing works, or even confronted with, ‘I bet you’re moving  that yourself’. My usual response to the latter  is to say, ‘I probably am!’  The idea behind dowsing is that our subconscious or even our psychic side does know the answer and produces micro-movements (idiomotor responses) in our muscles to cause the movement that we can then interpret. Dowsing is a brilliant skill for beginners to start with as they start to develop their psychic abilities.

Psychic Skills Abilities!

Some people believe we all have psychic abilities. Some of us may have more natural abilities than others, the same way that some of us seem inclined towards music or mathematics. But just like any other skill, psychic abilities can be trained and enhanced. The following exercise can help to increase your natural psychic skills.

Psychic Skills Steps:-

1:-Meditate:-
Experiment with various techniques until you find one that feels right for you. Keep a healthy diet. Remember, there is no right way or wrong way to perform meditation. It is only important that you are able to relax and focus your mind. If you continue the practice of meditation for any length of time, you will begin to notice the existence of your own spiritual energy. It is the connection to your spiritual self which provides intuitive information. Strengthening the connection to your spiritual self will result in an increase of your psychic abilities Meditation is most important for psychic abilities. It can help you in many walks of life-for instance, if your child has trouble reading teach him to meditate and they often get better. It may seem odd but it helps a lot.
2:-Try to be more aware of your surroundings:-
Upon waking in the morning, make an effort to lie still for a few minutes without opening your eyes. Try to notice as many sounds, textures and smells as possible before you decide to open your eyes. This exercise, if carried out for several weeks, can greatly help to increase your levels of awareness and intuition.
3:-Listen:-
The act of listening is important in increasing psychic awareness. After continuing this exercise for some time, you will begin to notice an increase in your overall awareness, which affects your level of intuition.
4:-Pay attention to random thoughts and feelings:-
Keep a journal handy at all times and try to write down those thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere. You may notice after a while that patterns tend to emerge. Thoughts that previously seemed completely random and unconnected begin to form themes or recognizable ideas.
5:-Record your dreams in your journal:-     
If you have been following the awareness exercise outlined above you will have noticed that your dreams are much easier to recall. Allowing yourself a few minutes to be still upon waking makes it much easier to remember dreams with more detail than if you rush out of bed in the morning and hurry to start the day. Try setting your alarm clock to wake you up ten or fifteen minutes before your normal waking time. Give yourself some time to remember your dreams and make a few quick notes in your journal.
6:-Embrace the power of silence and solitude:-
Keeping away from the rowdiness and activities of noisy distractions can help the mind think more clearly, in terms of developing inner mental accuracy and focus. Drink in the beauty of natural sounds, like the chirping of birds, the babbling of water from a brook, waterfall, etc. These natural echos are known to enhance intuition and psychic abilities. But most importantly, expect the unexpected!

Spiritual Healing You Can Do It:-

Spiritual healing as practiced in the religion of Spiritualism is never advocated as a substitute for mainstream medicine but is used in conjunction with mainstream medicine.† There is substantial empirical evidence, including scientific research, that demonstrates spiritual healing works.

Here is a method of laying-on-of-hands spiritual healing:
Always advise your sitters to see a doctor if they have a serious condition.
The person receiving healing should sit in a chair.
The healer stands behind the chair and places his hands on the shoulders of the sitter.
The healer mentally repeats the following prayer:
1:-Oh God, please watch over me and protect me so that only the highest and best forces an influence me."
The healer then mentally repeats the following reminder:
2:-"The correct application of the healing force is in the spirit of love."
At this point the intention to heal is all that is necessary for healing to begin. However the healer may visualize healing light coming down from God into his head and through his hands to the sitter. In addition, the healer can mentally repeat a prayer such as:
3:-"Oh God, please move healing energy through me into [name the sitter] to give him healing for his highest good."
If the desired recipient of healing is at a distant location, the same method is used except the healer's hands will not be in contact with the recipient and the healer may sit or lie down. Several people can be named in the prayer to send healing to all of them.
In self-healing, this same technique would be used with a prayer such as, "Oh God, please may I have healing energy to give me healing for my highest good."
The healer should always direct his intentions to provide healing for the "highest good" of the sitter rather than for any specific outcome. No one lives forever, however spiritual healing may ease pain and/or ease the transition of passing when a cure is not possible.
A secondary method of self healing may be done with a guided meditation.
Imagine you are in a place or situation that fills you with good feelings. This might be: relaxing in the back yard of your dream house, being with a cherished pet, or being with a person you love. Whatever would make you feel at peace and content. Notice how good you feel.
Then think through and visualize the following guided meditation. As you say each line inwardly, try to do it in a relaxing manner. As you repeat this process for several minutes, let yourself drift into a deeply relaxed state.
1:-... And the healing light of God shines down upon me 
2:- It permeates my entire being
3:-Healing me physically and emotionally
4:-It dissolves away anger and fear
5:-And fills me with love and forgiveness
Repeat this meditation for several minutes, ten to twenty minutes would be typical.
This healing meditation is especially effective when used in combination with the PracticingPeace meditation.
Another form of mental healing involves visualizing your immune cells winning a fight against harmful viruses, bacteria, or cancer cells. One way to do this is to visualize your immune cells engulfing and destroying, for example, any harmful virus particles in your body. You can combine this with the spiritual healing self-healing techniques described above and even visualize the healing energy adding power to your immune cells to help them in their fight.
When healing another person, it is not necessary to touch the sitter. If the receiver is bedridden the healer and receiver may hold hands or the healer may just sit or stand near the receiver.
This can continue for any amount of time, 5 to 20 minutes would be typical. Repeat as often as desired, daily among family members or weekly from a dedicated healer is typical. Do not expect miraculous results. While there may be a few exceptional healers who can obtain significant results in one treatment, it is more common to repeat treatments over a period of weeks, months, or years depending on the condition.

Spirtual development!

Relaxation:- 

Relaxation is helpful for spiritual development because it can help you to maintain a calm and unhurried attitude that will help you live according to the spiritual values you develop through meditation. 

Different relaxation exercises have effects on different systems in the body.Relaxation exercises are provided for relaxing or calming the muscles, respiration, the mind, and emotions. By using these relaxation exercises in combination, all of these mind/body systems can be relaxed or calmed at the same time. This results in faster, deeper relaxation than can be achieved by using only one exercise by itself.

1:-Relaxing the Muscles:- 

1:-Yoga and Stretching:-
Stretching or yoga can be a helpful preliminary to any of the other relaxation exercises. If there are certain parts of your body which you find become especially tense, you may want to pay particular attention to them when stretching. Such areas include the back, calves, shoulders, neck and jaw.
The jaw can, for some people be particularly difficult to relax. It can be helpful in relaxing the jaw to repeat the sequence of 1) clenching the teeth with moderate but not too much pressure while pulling the lips back in a grimace and scrunching up the eyes, 2) then open the jaw as wide as possible (and optionally sticking out the tongue), 3) and then forming the lips into an "o" as if you were blowing out a candle. Repeating this several times will help relax the muscles of the jaw.

2:-Progressive Muscular Relaxation:-
Progressive muscular relaxation can help to relax the muscles of the body. To do this, tense and relax each part of the body, or gently move each part of the body one after another.

3:-Self Hypnotic Induction:-
Self Hypnotic induction can also be used to relax the muscles. Focus your attention on each part of the body in turn from the toes to the top of the head and say to yourself that it is becoming "relaxed and heavy". For example say, "My toes are relaxed and heavy, my feet are relaxed and heavy, my calves are relaxed and heavy..." working your way through all the muscles of the body. As you name each part of the body, take a moment and relax it and observe if it really does begin to feel relaxed and heavy. Use as much detail as you feel is appropriate. For example, you may name all the components of your foot - toes, sole, instep, ankle, heel, Achilles' tendon - or if you prefer you can be less detailed and just name the toes and the feet. You have to find out what works best for you and use that.

4:-Imagine You are Floating:-
Sitting quietly or lying down, with your eyes closed and imagining you are floating can be a very effective way to relax.
Calming Respiration
1:-Rhythmic breathing
Rhythmic breathing can help to slow the heart rate and rate of breathing. For example: for a few minutes, maintain a ratio 2:1:2:1 of inhalation 2 heart beats, hold 1 beat, exhalation 2 beats, hold 1 beat. Use a ratio of 2:1 if that is most comfortable or 4:2 or 6:3 etc. what ever is most comfortable. Other ratios/values are recommended by different schools of thought and can work well too.
If you find your heart rate is high, use a longer count so that you maintain a slow rate of breathing. As the heart rate slows you may find that you need to use a lower count to keep the breath rate from getting too slow. Also, if you are trying to relax after some physical activity and are short of breath, you should use a lower count. You should not strain to slow the rate of breathing when doing this exercise.

Calming the Mind
2:-Concentration Meditation
Concentration meditation will help relax the mind. See the chapter on Meditation for more information on concentration meditation and how to do it.

3:-Visualization
Visualization is excellent for relaxing the mind and for going from a relaxed state to an even deeper state of relaxation. Visualization puts the mind in a "dream like" state.
  • One way to use visualization is to visualize a location that you would find relaxing or pleasant, a natural scene, or your dream home, anything that would be calming.
  • Another way to use visualization is to visualize each color of the spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and white). You can visualize either the pure colors or an object of each color - fruits or flowers are good objects.
Notice how deeply relaxed you get while visualizing. Notice that dreamy state that is so different from ordinary waking consciousness. You may feel waves of relaxation spreading through yourself as you visualize.

4:-Visualizing a Pleasant Situation:-

Your emotional state can be thought of as a bodily system that can be addressed directly with a specific type of relaxation exercise. One way to do this is to imagine or remember a pleasant situation. This differs from the visualization section above because here you are selecting the situation for the emotional reaction it will induce in you. Try to imagine you are in a place or situation that fills you with good feelings. You might imagine you have something you want. It's okay if it is something materialistic like a lot of money. Or, it could be relaxing in the backyard of your dream house, or having a special relationship with someone you love. Or, it could be a memory of a time you felt good, maybe when you were with a cherished pet, on a wonderful vacation or when you were with someone you love. It could be anything that happened that made you feel good. Whatever would make you feel at peace and content. When you think of a pleasant situation, notice how good you feel. Notice how you are able to replace whatever emotions you were feeling previously with the good feelings that you generate with your memory or imagination.

Combining Relaxation Exercises
Don't just do these techniques mechanically, you must use them consciously, and see to it that they are working and that you are relaxing as you do them.

There are quite a lot of things you can do when you are in a deep state of relaxation.
  • A deeply relaxed state is a great time to do self healing or healing of those not present.
  • Sending healing to "where it's needed for the highest good" is a practice that leads to spiritual unfoldment.
  • You might try using affirmations.
  • You can also try asking questions of God, your higher-self, or spirit guides when you are in a deeply relaxed state. After you ask a question, notice the activity of your mind and see if any relevant thoughts or symbolic images arise that pertain to the question. Notice if the thought is the first thing that pops into your mind, if it is a train of associations, or if it is something that you only recognize after you notice you have been lost in thought for a few seconds.
    Relaxation exercises do not just help you to relax at the time you do the exercises. They help you to develop the ability to relax as a skill, as a habit, that you carry with you throughout out the day. Then, over time, when you find yourself experiencing tension due to stress or strong emotional reactions, you will develop the skills and know how to relax and let go of the tension and emotions as they occur throughout the day.
